October 21, 2008 - Flint Energy Services Ltd. is a recipient of an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 Award

On October 21, 2008, a few Executive team members and members of the Board of Directors of Flint Energy Services Ltd attended the 15th annual Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year awards dinner for the Prairie Region. Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award is one of the world’s most prestigious business awards for entrepreneurs. The award makes a difference through the unique way it encourages entrepreneurial activity among those with potential and recognizes the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. As the first and only truly global award of its kind, this award celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses, recognizing them through regional, national and global award programs in more than 135 cities in 50 countries.
E&Y's web site reads, "The energy, ingenuity, resiliency and passion displayed by our Prairies entrepreneurs are inspiring,” said Barry Munro, Director of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program for the Prairies Region. “This year's Prairies Entrepreneur of the Year finalists are leaving their mark and making us leaders in our region, in our country and around the globe. The Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards honour the spirit and contribution of entrepreneurs here and around the world. This year’s program is proudly celebrating a milestone anniversary — 15 years of honouring the country’s most impressive entrepreneurs from all areas of business."
I am proud to say that on Wednesday night, we witnessed John Geddes (Flint's Chairman of the Board) and Bill Lingard (Flint's President and CEO) accept the award for Entrepreneur of the Year for the Prairie Region for Energy Services on behalf of all of the employees at Flint. Though we are a public company, our vision to change the oilfield services sector with a broad suite of client services was recognized for our business strategy, growth, marketing and financial success.
This tribute goes to our entrepreneurial spirit of problem solving, overcoming a cyclical industry and impacting our market segment. This is a result of our employees' efforts.
